Paul Dunn passed away 00:15hrs 19th June 2007
Paul had a brilliant Naval Career
starting in 1962 as a boy in HMS St Vincent.
He ran three times for the F. A. A. in '70, '73 and 76,
keeping his hand in by running Brickwood's in '71 and '72.
Paul had the distinction of being
the Captain of the RN Rugby Team from 1975 to 1980. This was eclipsed by being appointed
Captain of the Combined Services Rugby Team
from 1975 to 1978.
For his contribution to Sport Paul
was nominated RN Sportsman of the Year in 1977.
It wasn't just on the sports field that Paul excelled he had 11 ships, served in the first Gulf War and was awarded the BEM and Meritorious Medal.
Paul married Sheila in 1972,
with Emma and Craig being born in in 1975 and 1978 respectively.
It was the Family's request that the service at the FAA Church, Yeovilton and later at the Crematorium be a private family affair.

Just got home from "Yeovilton" and an excellent service in memory of Paul. Family, friends, serving members and hundreds of us guys attended in blazers Green and some Blue, Thank You All again for your support, WE WILL of course still be doing our cycle challenge to raise funds for St Margarets Hospice and St Dunstans summer camp HMS Sultan. See you all at, "Command 100". Cheers
